Custom Wheels

For custom work look to us as the industry leaders for top quality finishing. From the moment your wheels enter our shop they will undergo unequaled attention to detail. The tires are removed from the wheels with a specialized machine that never touches the outside of the rims. The wheels are then chemically stripped to remove old finish. Repairs, if needed are done. Curb rash is the most common ailment. For highly polished wheels, hand buffing is applied in great detail.

For painting, the wheels are prepped and a base coat of paint is applied, For example, for "black chrome effect", a black base coat is applied. A top coat of paint is applied and a special silver top coat is dusted on, with the number of passes determining how dark of light the end result is desired. Clear coat is applied for protection. Any custom machining is done, such as machined lip and machined faces (spokes and centre bowl). In essence this removes some of the new paint, leaving a very sharp line between the machined and painted sections. A final clear coat is done over the entire wheel.

The tires are remounted and balanced. Here our specialized tire machine makes such a difference as an ordinary tire machine would damage the newly finished wheel. Wheel weights are stick-on type and are fastened to the inside of the wheel. Wheels are mounted on car and torqued appropriately.
